Here is a list of drastic measures you should try if none of the standard cold sore cures worked for you:
1. Natural cures to apply on the sore: Garlic, tea oil, alcohol, lavender oil and more.
2. Change you diet to a low carb diet
3. Use high SPF suncream on hot days
4. Sleep a lot, rest a lot and most important – relax
5. Apply ice on the sore for 20 minutes at least.
